# TEnergy > TRON energy rented by the hour and delegated on chain to an address you name, for backends and agents that send USDT. No private key is ever required — delegation moves nothing out of your wallet. TRON charges energy for TRC-20 transfers; without it a USDT transfer burns TRX. We sell that energy per unit for a fixed rental window and delegate it to the receiver you name, usually within seconds of payment. Prices are quoted in SUN per unit of energy (1 TRX = 1,000,000 SUN) and move with the time of day. The API is HMAC-signed with X-API-KEY, X-API-TIMESTAMP and X-API-SIGN; the clock tolerance is five seconds. Testnet is Nile at api-nile.tenergy.me, with separate keys, a separate ledger and behaviour that is not identical to mainnet. Start at the agent quickstart below. ## Start here - [Agent quickstart](https://tenergy.me/docs/agent-quickstart.md): go from no account to a delegated order in twelve requests, with the operator prompt you can paste into your own agent. - [Machine-readable quickstart](https://tenergy.me/.well-known/quickstart.json): the same flow as JSON — endpoints, auth, units, the safety list and which steps need a human. - [OpenAPI contract](https://tenergy.me/openapi.yaml): the full contract; generate a client from it rather than hand-writing requests. ## API - [Quickstart](https://tenergy.me/docs/quickstart.md): the requests from a price to a delegated order, in cURL, TypeScript and Python. - [Authentication](https://tenergy.me/docs/authentication.md): sign a request with HMAC-SHA256, what goes into the signed string, and how to survive clock skew. - [Environments](https://tenergy.me/docs/environments.md): the mainnet and Nile hosts, their key prefixes, and what Nile cannot prove. - [Prices, estimates and quotes](https://tenergy.me/docs/api/prices.md): read the sellable tiers before you hardcode anything, estimate statelessly, or pin a price for 120 seconds. - [Orders](https://tenergy.me/docs/api/orders.md): create an order idempotently with client_order_id and follow it to confirmed; partial delivery is a field, not a state. - [Webhooks](https://tenergy.me/docs/webhooks.md): subscribe to delivery events, verify the signature, and deduplicate by event id. - [Errors and rate limits](https://tenergy.me/docs/errors.md): every error code, what caused it, the next action to take, and what a 429 tells you. - [Developer landing](https://tenergy.me/api): the four ways to buy, the SDK and everything machine-readable on one page. ## API reference - [Signup](https://tenergy.me/docs/api/signup.md): Creating an account without a credential yet: the address challenge, its verification, account creation, and reading the deposit address before the first API key exists. - [Session](https://tenergy.me/docs/api/session.md): The dashboard session: the credential a browser holds, and the only one it ever holds. - [Account](https://tenergy.me/docs/api/account.md): Who am I, what is my balance, where do I send money. - [Pricing](https://tenergy.me/docs/api/prices.md): Price table, quotes and estimates. - [Orders](https://tenergy.me/docs/api/orders.md): Buying and inspecting rentals. - [Batches](https://tenergy.me/docs/api/batches.md): One request, many receivers. - [Subscriptions](https://tenergy.me/docs/api/subscriptions.md): Auto-refill for an address. - [Webhooks](https://tenergy.me/docs/api/webhooks.md): Registering and testing delivery endpoints. - [Chain](https://tenergy.me/docs/api/chain.md): Read-only TRON helpers. - [API keys](https://tenergy.me/docs/api/api-keys.md): Managing the credentials of this account. - [Node proxy](https://tenergy.me/docs/api/node-proxy.md): Node keys for the TRON node proxy endpoint. ## SDKs and tools - [TypeScript SDK](https://tenergy.me/docs/sdk/typescript.md): a typed client generated from the contract — signing, retries on idempotent calls only, waitForOrder and webhook verification. - [Migration guides](https://tenergy.me/compare/catfee): endpoint-by-endpoint mapping from CatFee, Netts, FeeSaver and TronZap, with what behaves differently. ## Concepts - [Concepts](https://tenergy.me/docs/concepts.md): energy and bandwidth, tiers, day parts, the ten order states, quote TTL and idempotency. - [Pricing model](https://tenergy.me/pricing): seven day-part windows (published in UTC on GET /v1/prices), shown in your time zone, with the tier bounds. ## Limits and safety - [Rate limits](https://tenergy.me/docs/errors.md#rate-limits): per-key and per-IP budgets, the RateLimit headers, and how to back off. - [What we never ask for](https://tenergy.me/docs/agent-quickstart.md#what-we-never-ask-for): no private key, seed phrase, allowance or signature is ever needed to receive energy. - [Failures and refunds](https://tenergy.me/docs/webhooks.md#events): what order.failed and order.refunded carry, and when the money is back on the balance. ## Optional - [Status page](https://status.tenergy.me/): current delivery latency and open incidents. - [Changelog](https://tenergy.me/docs/changelog.md): API changes, dated. - [Docs index](https://tenergy.me/docs.md): every docs page, grouped Concepts, Developers and Guides. - [llms-full.txt](https://tenergy.me/llms-full.txt): the whole corpus as one markdown file, for agents that prefer one fetch to twenty.
