Activate a TRON address

A new TRON address does not exist on chain until TRX is sent to it. Until then it can hold USDT sent to it, but it cannot send anything, and nobody can delegate energy to it. Activation is one TRX transfer that creates the account; the network charges the sender about 1.1 TRX for it.

Paste the address: we check it on chain. If it is not activated, send it any amount of TRX from your own wallet with one button — or activate it through us for 1.20 TRX when that suits you better.

What a new address can and cannot do

ActionNot activated
Receive TRXyes — and that activates it
Receive USDT (TRC-20)yes, the balance is kept by the token contract; the address stays not activated
Send USDT or TRXno — the account must exist first
Receive rented energyno — energy can be delegated only to an existing account

An account is created by a TRX or TRC-10 transfer, or by a create-account call. TRON network rules; fees read 2026-10-07.

The cheapest way: send TRX yourself

Send any amount of TRX to the address from a wallet or an exchange withdrawal. The network charges the sender about 1.1 TRX to create the account (0.1 TRX for the bandwidth and 1 TRX account fee), on top of the amount sent. The button above does exactly this from the wallet you connect.

When activating through TEnergy is worth it

With us activation costs 1.20 TRX and is sent from our own wallet. It is worth it when:

  • Privacy: the first transfer links a new address to whoever funded it, for good. Through us the first sender is our wallet, not yours.
  • A clean first sender: our activation wallet is topped up only from the hot wallets of major exchanges, so the new address does not start its history next to an unknown wallet.
  • Paying from your balance: no wallet to connect, activation is charged to your TEnergy balance.
  • Many addresses: payment services and exchanges activate deposit addresses through the API, one call per address, with energy in the same order and one bill.
  • Energy too: a new address needs energy for its first USDT transfer anyway; one order activates it and delegates the energy.

FAQ

Why does my wallet say the account is not activated?

Because no TRX has been sent to it yet. A USDT balance does not count: tokens live in the token contract, not in the account.

How much does activation cost?

Sent from your own wallet, about 1.1 TRX in network fees plus whatever you send. Through TEnergy, 1.20 TRX.

Does sending USDT to an address activate it?

No. Only a TRX (or TRC-10) transfer or a create-account call activates an address.
